Literature as Ancient Prompts
What if books, poems and literature were ancient prompts left by people from the past and present day humans are just agents acting on them? It goes back all the way to the first cave paintings.
Even to rebel against a prompt is to acknowledge its existence, and that irrevocably changes the outcome compared to not having seen anything in the first place.
Humans are social animals, it only takes a small subset of people to be influenced to perpetuate any prompt.
Since those ancient cavemen mimicked animals, birds and nature for survival, the entire thing is just one cosmic signature prompt.
To search for the source of the original prompt is a wrong question, because that still keeps us within the paradigm of prompts. Agents can't expect to go beyond the prompt framework from within it.
But the very existence of prompts is the proof that __________
That of which we cannot speak, we must pass over in silence
